Advia Credit Union seeks an HR Specialist to support payroll, onboarding, benefits, and company-wide initiatives. You will process payroll, ensure onboarding accuracy, and maintain HR records while upholding policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year up to three years of similar or related experience.
• A college degree.
• Familiar with FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, FLSA, EEOC and other employment laws.

Responsibilities

• Assists with bi-weekly payroll processing, maintaining records and reports.
• Manages HR Helpdesk requests with timely resolution.
• Oversees onboarding from offer to training start, maintains documentation.
• Supports Organizational Development activities and LOS program reporting.
• Maintains employee files in compliance with legal requirements.
• Interprets HR policies to ensure compliance across the organization.
• Participates in various HR projects and cross-functional initiatives.
• Collaborates with HR management and HR Business Partners to improve relationships and retention.
• Keeps professional knowledge current through training and industry resources.
• Ensures compliance with laws and company policies, managing risk.
