Advia Credit Union is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to support payroll, onboarding, policy interpretation, and employee relations across the organization.

You will handle HR helpdesk requests, assist with talent acquisition and benefits, and contribute to projects that strengthen workplace culture and retention. This role emphasizes compliance with federal/state laws and advancement opportunities within a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of related HR experience.
• A college degree is required.
• Familiarity with FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, FLSA, EEOC and related employment laws.

Responsibilities

• Assist bi-weekly payroll processing and maintain timecards and reports.
• Manage HR Helpdesk requests with timely resolution.
• Oversee onboarding from offer to training start and maintain employee records.
• Support Organizational Development tasks including LOS program and event planning.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies and laws across the organization.
• Collaborate with HR Management to improve relationships, morale, productivity and retention.
