Job summary

Burnham Law in Centennial, CO is seeking an HR Specialist who will work closely with the HR Manager across all HR areas, supporting employees, managing day-to-day needs, and continuing to build and improve HR processes.

You'll take ownership of assigned responsibilities while maintaining communication on priorities, progress, and issues as the HR function grows. The typical workday is Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, with a comprehensive benefits package and a collaborative, professional environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of broad HR experience.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, or related field preferred; equivalent HR experience considered.
• Highly motivated self-starter with proactive, solution-focused approach.
• Ability to anticipate needs, take initiative, and follow through on responsibilities from start to finish.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interacting with employees at all levels.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• HR Operations and Administration: support day-to-day HR operations and maintain confidential records.
• Recruitment, Onboarding & Offboarding: assist with recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
• Employee Support: serve as first point of contact for routine questions and escalate as needed.
• Payroll, Benefits & HRIS: assist with payroll, benefits, HRIS maintenance, and vendor coordination.
• Performance Management & Reporting: schedule reviews and prepare HR reports and metrics.
• Communications, Training & Events: prepare HR communications, coordinate training and events, support engagement initiatives.
• Employee Relations Support: assist with employee relations matters and investigations.
