Job summary

Burns Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) in the United States to act as a trusted advisor to managers and staff, guiding employee relations, performance management, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.

The HRBP will collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Payroll, Benefits, and HR leadership to drive objectives and employee experience. The role focuses on supporting lifecycle activities, coaching leaders, administering HR

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Significant relevant Human Resources experience may be substituted for formal education.
• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR contact for assigned business units and leaders.
• Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations, performance management, talent development, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.
• Partner with leadership to develop solutions that improve team performance, engagement, collaboration, and retention.
• Support managers in addressing day-to-day employee matters while ensuring consistency and compliance.
• Investigate and respond to employee concerns, complaints, workplace conflicts, and employee relations matters.
• Support annual goal-setting, performance review processes, and succession planning.
• Assist with organization-wide HR programs and administration and maintain confidential employee records.
• Support acquisition integration and onboarding for newly acquired employees.
