Job summary

The University of Louisville School of Dentistry (ULSD) is hiring a Unit Human Resources Specialist III to perform a wide range of HR functions, including talent acquisition, consultation, data analytics, training and development, and project management. This role partners with ULSD leadership to ensure compliant HR processes and effective workforce planning.

The position emphasizes collaboration with main campus HR for FMLA, workers' compensation and benefits, while driving employee engagement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field and four (4) years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Master's degree in human resources or related field and 4 years of experience (preferred).
• SHRM or HRCI certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide full cycle talent acquisition to meet hiring and onboarding processes for faculty and staff.
• Provide HR support to faculty and staff.
• Provide HR consultation and guidance to ULSD staff, faculty and leaders.
• Analyze data trends and metrics and prepare monthly and quarterly reports.
• Research, monitor, and enforce policies to ensure compliance with applicable internal policies/procedures and legal requirements.
• HR project management.
• Liaison with main campus HR to administer FMLA, workers compensation and benefits.
• Work closely with management and employees to improve relationships, morale, productivity and retention.
• Facilitate training and development plans on HR topics and maintain records of participation.
• Participate in employee engagement planning and execution.
• Monitor and report on workforce and succession planning.
• Assist with payroll duties as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
