Job summary

Primary Services, a global industrial technology and renewable energy leader, seeks an HR Shared Services Manager in the Houston area. You will design and evolve an employee services model that delivers compliant, scalable support while partnering with HR leaders and Centers of Excellence.

In this hybrid role, you’ll own service delivery, optimize HRIS, expand self-service, and drive metrics that improve the employee experience across a geographically diverse workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of HR experience in operations, shared services, or employee services.
• 2+ years of direct people leadership experience.
• Experience managing lifecycle processes and HR service delivery.
• Experience administering HRIS platforms and reporting.
• Knowledge of employment laws and HR operational practices.
• Experience managing external HR vendors and service performance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Hybrid schedule based in the Houston area.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (<10%).
• Global/engineering/industrial sector experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evolve the HR shared services operating model.
• Establish roles, responsibilities, and handoffs across teams.
• Translate HR needs into scalable employee service solutions.
• Define and analyze employee services metrics to improve delivery.
• Lead change management for new HR processes and systems.
• Expand employee self-service through HR technology and automation.
• Develop HR knowledge articles, guides, and training resources.
• Own HRIS administration, data integrity, and reporting.
• Develop workforce and recruitment reporting for executives.
• Manage HR vendors, service performance, and contracts.
• Provide training on HR practices and employment law.
• Advise managers on HR programs and operational practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, compliance, and experience.
• Lead and develop HR team members with continuous improvement.
