Job summary

The-Blue-Collar-Recruiter-of-Marietta is seeking an HR & Safety Compliance Generalist in Houston, TX. You will handle employee relations, investigations, safety compliance, training, and reporting for a multi-location heavy equipment company.

You will work with branch leadership, managers, insurance partners, and clinics to ensure regulatory compliance and effective HR operations. A strong background in OSHA, workers' comp, and policy interpretation is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or compliance role
• Experience conducting workplace investigations with objective documentation
• Knowledge of employment law, OSHA recordkeeping, and workers' comp
• Strong judgment, discretion, and organizational skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and HRIS/HR software; ADP a plus

Responsibilities

• Handle employee relations issues and conduct or support workplace and incident investigations
• Maintain confidential files and elevate serious concerns to HR leadership
• Support corrective actions, policy interpretation, onboarding, HRIS data, and HR compliance audits
• Administer HR and safety training and follow up on overdue training
• Maintain OSHA 300/300A records and postings, and prepare monthly TRIR and LTIR reports
• Coordinate workers' comp claims, vehicle and property incidents, and post-accident and random drug testing
• Build and manage a regional occupational clinic network
• Support safety meetings, Toolbox Talks, SDS updates, insurance captive reporting, and subcontractor prequalification
• Lead HR and Safety special projects and process improvements

R & Safety Compliance Generalist

Job location: Houston, TX

What You Bring

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Occupational Safety, or related field
• Heavy equipment, crane, construction, manufacturing, industrial, or transportation experience
• Multi-location or multi-state workforce experience
• PHR, SHRM-CP, OSHA, or other relevant certification
