Job summary

ACF, Inc in Tampa, FL is seeking a proactive Safety Coordinator to foster a culture of safety across our organization. You will partner with leadership and employees to ensure compliance with safety regulations, develop training programs, and implement initiatives that protect our people.

This role involves both office and field work across multiple locations, building relationships, improving processes, and driving workplace safety through inspections, training, and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of safety-related experience.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices.
• Travel to branch locations for training, inspections, safety audits, etc.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain safety policies, programs, and procedures.
• Ensure OSHA/MSHA/compliance with regulations across locations.
• Monitor regulatory changes and communicate requirements to management.
• Maintain client safety platforms like ISNetworld and Avetta.
• Track OSHA/MSHA training hours and complete reporting.
• Coordinate and deliver safety training programs for employees.
• Schedule and track monthly training requirements.
• Coordinate CPR, forklift certification, hazard communication, and related training.
• Serve as safety resource for staff and management.
• Conduct routine job-site inspections to ensure safe practices.
• Perform quarterly inspections of office, warehouse, vehicles, and branches.
• Identify risks and recommend corrective actions to reduce hazards.
• Assist with hazard analyses and safety reviews.
• Support incident, injury, and near-miss investigations.
• Review findings and help implement corrective actions.
• Assist HR with workers’ compensation claims and OSHA records.
• Manage PPE inventory and safety supplies.
• Advise employees on PPE selection and use.
• Order PPE and uniforms for new hires.
• Coordinate annual calibration of safety equipment and meters.
• Coordinate vehicle inspections and related activities.
• Prepare documentation and follow-up for driving complaints.
• Generate monthly GPS reporting and participate in safety improvements.

Safety Programs and Compliance

• Develop, maintain, and support company-wide safety policies,programs, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and other applicable federal,state, and industry regulations.
• Monitor regulatory changes and communicate compliance requirementsto management and staff.
• Maintain compliance with client safety platforms includingISNetworld, Avetta, and other third-party contractor management systems.
• Track and report OSHA and MSHA training hours and completerequired quarterly and annual reporting.

Training & Employee Development

• Coordinate and deliver engaging safety training programs foremployees across the organization.
• Assign and track monthly safety training requirements.
• Coordinate CPR, forklift certification, hazard communication, andother safety-related training programs.
• Serve as a trusted safety resource for employees and management.

Inspections & Risk Management

• Conduct routine job-site inspections to ensure safe work practicesare followed.
• Perform quarterly office, warehouse, vehicle, and branch inspections.
• Identify safety risks and recommend corrective actions to reduceworkplace hazards.
• Assist with process hazard analyses and safety reviews.
• Support incident, injury, and near-miss investigations.
• Review investigation findings and help implement corrective actions.
• Assist Human Resources with workers' compensation claimsmanagement and OSHA recordkeeping, including OSHA 300 and 300A logs.

Equipment and Safety Resources

• Manage inventory of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety supplies.
• Assist employees in selecting appropriate PPE for their work environment.
• Order PPE and uniforms for new hires.
• Coordinate annual calibration of safety equipment and meters.

Fleet & Administrative Support

• Coordinate vehicle inspections, repairs, and insurance-related activities.
• Manage driving complaints and prepare required documentation andfollow-up reports.
• Generate and distribute monthly GPS reporting.
• Support company-wide safety initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Experience and Skills

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (includingphysical and work environment)

• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Basic mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Ability to work in industrial, warehouse, construction, andoutdoor environments, including non-climate-controlled settings.
• Ability to wear required PPE.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to operate a forklift (company-provided training andcertification required).

Minimum Job Qualifications (education, workexperience, licenses/certifications)

• Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in safety,risk management, operations, or a related field; equivalentcombinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety best practices.
• Ability to travel to branch locations for training, inspections,safety audits, etc.
