Responsibilities

• Perform full recruiting cycle for exempt and non-exempt positions, including intake, posting, sourcing, resume review, screening, interview scheduling, and offers.
• Coordinate with hiring managers to define requirements, timelines and interview steps.
• Ensure workspace, equipment, access, and first-day plans are ready for new hires.
• Conduct onboarding, benefits orientation, and facility tours.
• Support HR administration (reports, questions, travel, safety initiatives).

My client, a growing distribution company in West Nashville for 100 years, is seeking an HR/Recruiting Specialist to join its team. This company has many long-tenured employees and invests heavily in its people, processes, and long-term growth. This role is Fridays from home after training. Overview of the HR/Recruiting Specialist:

• The HR/Recruiting Specialist will perform the full recruiting cycle for exempt and non-exempt positions, including job intake, posting, sourcing, resume review, screening, interview scheduling, selection support, presenting offers, and pre-employment activities (background/drug tests).
• Work with hiring managers to understand position requirements, establish recruiting timelines, clarify interview steps, and maintain momentum throughout each search.
• Partner with hiring managers, payroll, IT, and other departments to ensure each new employee’s workspace, equipment, access, schedule, and first-day plan are ready before arrival.
• Perform onboarding duties that include paperwork, benefits orientation, touring the facility, and introduction to other employees.
• Assist with HR admin work, including reports, fielding employee questions, safety /cultural initiatives, travel arrangements, etc.
