Job summary

Westerman, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Human Resources Assistant at the Casper JW Williams facility in Casper, WY.

Under supervision from the Vice President, Human Resources, you will support recruiting, staffing, onboarding and HR reporting functions and help manage HR-related processes. This position requires a high school diploma or GED, strong attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and the ability to work in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year recruiting experience in-house or with staffing agency.
• HR experience including recruitment, benefits, employee relations, training, and/or compensation.
• Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
• Excellent attendance and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple functions and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong communication, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with HRIS/ATS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Finds and attracts qualified applicants using recruiting methods and interviews.
• Coordinates with staffing agencies and hiring managers on skill requirements and timing.
• Maintains relationships with workforce services and schools.
• Travels to career fairs, trade schools, and recruiting events as needed.
• Maintains timecards and reports for agency employees.
• Creates new employee files and maintains HR data accuracy.
• Develops recruiting and marketing materials to attract candidates.
• Ensures job descriptions are current and accurate.
