Job summary

Ventura Transfer Company is seeking an entry-level HR Recruiter/Specialist to support full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and HR tasks at our Long Beach headquarters. You will manage Paycom, Indeed, and LinkedIn, draft job descriptions with the HR Director, and help coordinate employee engagement and events.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years HR experience, a 4-year degree, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work across facilities. This is an on-site role in Long Beach, CA.

Qualifications

• Two plus years of HR experience and knowledge of HR processes.
• Experience recruiting for transportation or industrial roles is a plus.
• Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for various roles.
• Proactive and independent with initiative to work autonomously.
• Familiarity with applicant-tracking software or recruitment systems.

Responsibilities

• Develops, facilitates, and implements all recruitment process phases through the HRIS system.
• Collaborate with managers to draft job descriptions and hiring criteria with the HR Director.
• Identify and implement efficient recruiting methods based on role and industry standards.
• Manage job postings and advertisements; screen applications and schedule interviews.
• Assist with offers, salary ranges, start dates, and other hiring details; report to HR Director.
• Assist with HR administrative tasks and budget monitoring; coordinate company events and engagement activities.
