Job summary

Whelen Engineering, Inc. in Chester, CT is seeking an HR Program Coordinator to support the coordination of programs, projects, initiatives, and activities within the Human Resources department.

Working closely with the VP of HR, you will help keep priorities organized, move initiatives forward, and ensure important details are not overlooked. The role combines program and project coordination with day-to-day organizational support to help the HR team operate efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate HR programs, projects, and initiatives, including organizing timelines, tracking progress, scheduling meetings, documenting action items, and following up on deliverables.
• Support the planning and coordination of HR team meetings, events, communications, and department-wide activities.
• Provide direct organizational support to the VP of HR, including preparing meeting materials and presentations, organizing information, tracking follow-up items, and helping manage competing priorities.
• Facilitate communication and coordination across HR team members and other departments to support the smooth execution of programs and initiatives.
• Maintain calendars, tracking tools, documentation, and other resources to keep information organized and accessible. Help ensure commitments and action items are followed up on in a timely manner.
• Identify opportunities to improve coordination and follow-through, and provide support for other HR priorities and activities as needed.
