Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals is the largest public health care system in the United States and seeks a skilled personnel administrator to develop and audit policies and programs across the organization. Under general supervision, you will translate policies into working procedures and prepare manuals for dissemination to staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with emphasis on personnel administration or related field.
• Five years or three years in personnel management with progressive responsibility.
• Comprehensive knowledge of personnel administration, employee relations and training.
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Translate policy statements into working procedures and disseminate policies.
• Advise training personnel and review training programs.
• Prepare employee handbooks and training manuals.
• Plan and conduct audits, surveys and research on policy effectiveness.
• Develop employee benefits and incentive programs.
• Coordinate performance appraisal implementation.
• Assist in employee counseling and development programs.
• Design forms to implement new personnel procedures.
• Recommend improvements to personnel information systems.
