Job summary

Laredo BSL Inc. seeks a skilled HR Specialist with payroll and compliance expertise to ensure accurate payroll processing and adherence to Texas labor laws. You will handle timekeeping, payroll records, and employee inquiries with confidentiality.

Requirements include 3+ years in HR/payroll, knowledge of state labor regulations, and proficiency with ADP, Paychex, or QuickBooks. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in HR or payroll processing.
• In-depth knowledge of Texas labor laws and payroll taxation.
• Experience handling Texas unemployment claims.
• Proficiency with payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, or QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on time in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Manage labor tax calculations and reporting (FICA, FUTA, SUTA).
• Oversee Texas UI compliance and manage claims.
• Administer Child Support claims and time clocks for hours worked.
• Interpret labor laws and apply them to company policies.
• Resolve employee concerns and workplace issues professionally.
• Serve as liaison between employees and management on payroll/tax matters.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and compliance reports.
• Support HR initiatives, policy updates, and training.
