Job summary

SECURA Insurance in Neenah, Wisconsin is offering a year-round HR internship focusing on payroll administration and HR operations. The role provides hands-on experience with payroll processes, timekeeping review, and maintaining records while supporting various HR projects.

During the school year, the position is part-time (approximately 15-20 hours/week) and may flex up to 40 hours/week during summer breaks. You will work with experienced HR professionals in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree in HR, business administration, accounting, finance, or related field.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Customer-focused approach and willingness to learn in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist payroll data preparation and processing.
• Review timekeeping records for accuracy and proper authorization.
• Research and resolve routine payroll discrepancies.
• Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation with confidentiality.
• Assist with audits, reconciliations, reports, and data validation.
• Support HR data entry and records in HR systems.
• Provide support for HR initiatives and special projects.
• Protect confidential employee and business information and follow HR policies.
• Collaborate with HR team to complete work accurately and meet deadlines.
• Other duties as assigned.
