Job summary

Harris is seeking a Human Capital + Payroll Analyst to manage employee data, time and attendance, and weekly payroll in Workday, collaborating with Human Capital, Payroll, Operations, and Accounting.

You’ll review payroll information, resolve issues before payroll runs, and become a subject matter expert on Workday, Lumber, union agreements, wage requirements, and payroll processes across the business.

Qualifications

• 2+ years working with confidential Human Capital, payroll, or employee data.
• Familiarity with employee lifecycle processes, payroll administration, or HR systems.
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to research and interpret detailed information, including union agreements, wage requirements, and payroll policies.
• Detail oriented approach to reviewing data, identifying discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records.
• Clear communicator who can work effectively with employees, leaders, unions, and cross functional teams.
• Associate degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process employee lifecycle transactions in Workday, including new hires, transfers, promotions, job changes, organizational changes, exemptions, and terminations
• Review timecards, job cost, wage, union, and payroll information to prepare accurate data for weekly payroll processing
• Research union agreements, wage rates, prevailing wage requirements, and certified payroll information to ensure payroll calculations are accurate and compliant
• Respond to employee and leader questions, investigate discrepancies, and work with Human Capital, Payroll, Operations, and Accounting to resolve issues
• Validate employee changes and payroll information in Workday and maintain accurate, complete employee records and documentation
• Provide backup support for onboarding, payroll processing, and other Human Capital and Payroll activities as needed
