Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support HR operations for on-site venues in Grand Rapids, MI. You will assist in benefits administration, onboarding, and payroll-related activities, and help maintain employee records in Workday or similar systems.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in HR or related field and 1–3 years HR experience, with strong communication skills and knowledge of federal and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
• 1–3 years HR experience, with recruitment exposure.
• Experience with Workday or similar HR software systems.
• Experience using online sourcing tools such as LinkedIn and Indeed.
• Experience administering employee benefits and understanding compliance.
• Payroll exposure preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with HR policies, regulations, and government reporting.
• Assist in administering benefits programs for facility staff.
• Assist recruitment, including job ads and candidate selection.
• Support onboarding for new employees.
• Maintain records for benefits, hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations.
• Respond to inquiries about policies and HR programs.
• Support benefits programs (health, dental, life, disability, pension, paid leave).
• Support payroll data entry and changes (new hires, job changes, rate updates).
• Respond to payroll inquiries and escalate as needed.
• Assist with direct deposit changes, tax withholding, and basic payroll forms.
• Coordinate with HR and Payroll for timely payroll processing.
