Job summary

The Erosion Company (TEC) is seeking a diligent HR/Payroll Coordinator to support payroll, benefits, onboarding, HR systems, and records compliance. You will serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers, ensuring accurate payroll processing and data integrity across HRIS platforms.

You will help manage employee lifecycle activities, assist with audits, and generate required HR and payroll reports. A hybrid work arrangement supports collaboration across project sites and headquarters.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of payroll, human resources, or administrative experience required.
• Experience processing multi-state payroll preferred.
• Experience with ADP or similar HRIS/payroll systems preferred.
• Strong understanding of payroll processing and payroll compliance requirements.
• Working knowledge of HR principles, employment practices, and benefit administration.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing weekly and semi-monthly payroll accurately through ADP, partnering with the Payroll Manager to ensure deadlines are met.
• Review time records, pay changes, new hires, terminations, bonuses, deductions, and garnishments; process changes as needed.
• Assist with onboarding, including paperwork, background checks, I-9 verification, and system setup.
• Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in HRIS systems.
• Process status changes, promotions, transfers, leaves of absence, and terminations.
• Assist with benefits enrollment and new hire orientation.
• Support recognition, service awards, and engagement programs.
• Create and update HR forms, templates, and SOPs.
• Assist with HR and payroll audits and records management.
• Ensure confidential handling of personnel files.
