Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. in Post Falls, Idaho seeks a Human Resources Partner to coach employees and supervisors, guide on policy and employment law, and drive HR initiatives. You will recruit, train, handle employee relations, develop career ladders, and partner with SMEs to improve processes while maintaining confidentiality and delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• You possess a B.A. or B.S. degree in Human Resources or related field
• You have a minimum of four years experience within Human Resources or a related field
• Knowledge of employment law and legal hiring practices and procedures
• Excellent listening, interviewing and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical ability and problem resolution skills
• Skills in investigating and successfully resolving Employee Relations situations
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion in handling sensitive information and data
• Demonstrated ability to handle/prioritize tasks
• Ability to work independently within a team environment
• You possess proficient knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with an HRIS system and processes
• PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM certification
• HR Generalist Experience

Responsibilities

• Coach employees and supervisors on personnel topics and policy
• Handle employee relations issues with confidentiality and professionalism
• Develop and roll-out career ladders with subject matter experts
• Manage initiatives to improve HR processes
• Recruit and hire employees and provide strong customer service
• Teach and train employees and supervisors on standard HR processes
• Work independently to propose solutions to problems
