Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. in Nampa, Idaho is seeking an HR Partner to coach employees and supervisors on personnel topics, handling employee relations with confidentiality, and developing career ladders with SME input.

You will recruit and hire employee-owners, train employees and supervisors on standard HR processes and complex behavioral topics, and deliver exceptional customer service to those you support.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in HR or related field and 4+ years HR experience.
  • Knowledge of employment law and compliant hiring practices.
  • Excellent listening, interviewing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem resolution abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive data.
  • Proficient MS Office and familiarity with HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

  • Coach employees and supervisors on personnel topics and policy.
  • Handle employee relations issues with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Develop and roll-out career ladders with SMEs.
  • Manage HR initiatives and process improvement projects.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire employees; provide training on HR processes.

Job description

We are looking for an HR professional to join our team as a Human Resources Partner in Nampa, Idaho! In this role, you will coach employees and supervisors on various personnel topics, handle employee relations issues with utmost professionalism and confidentiality, develop and roll-out career ladders in partnership with subject matter experts, manage initiatives/projects to improve processes and procedures, recruit and hire the best employee-owners, teach and train employees and supervisors on standard HR processes and complex behavioral topics, and provide exceptional customer service to those you support. Typical Day

As a Human Resources Partner, a typical day might include the following:

  • Facilitate meetings to resolve issues.
  • Provide objective feedback, make recommendations on issues as appropriate for both individual employees and managers.
  • Counsel employees and management by interpreting company culture, values and policy, and employment law promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local regulations; maintain legal documentation.
  • Maintain broad understanding of data relevant to HR area(s); manage reporting requests and interpret data for others.
  • Work with management to help draft and supply updated and useful information such as reports, relevant policies, and/or disciplinary documents.
  • Actively source and recruit, interview, and hire employees.
  • Support Human Resources training efforts.
  • Work independently using initiative to propose solutions to problems.
Qualifications

This job might be for you if:

  • You possess a B.A. or B.S. degree in Human Resources or related field
  • You have a minimum of four years experience within Human Resources or a related field
  • Knowledge of employment law and legal hiring practices and procedures
  • Excellent listening, interviewing and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical ability and problem resolution skills
  • Skills in investigating and successfully resolving Employee Relations situations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion in handling sensitive information and data
  • Demonstrated ability to handle/prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work independently within a team environment
  • You possess proficient knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with an HRIS system and processes

Pay Range

Pay Range Data We anticipate filling this position as a Human Resources Partner: $76,050-$112-385 per year. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
