Job summary

Slate in Troy, Michigan, is hiring an HR Operations Partner – Timekeeping & Payroll Analyst to ensure accurate, timely payroll delivery with a focus on timekeeping review and Workday payroll administration. You will manage payroll-related data and coordinate with HR, Finance and IT to support accurate, compliant payroll processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in payroll and timekeeping.
• 5+ years of hands-on Workday payroll and timekeeping experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review weekly and biweekly timesheets for accuracy, missing entries, overtime, PTO, coding issues and resolve before payroll.
• Prepare weekly/biweekly payroll files, reports, uploads, funding requests, and reconciliations on time.
• Maintain Workday data including new hires, tax jurisdictions, deductions, and changes to compensation or profiles.
• Support audits, reporting, compliance and ad hoc requests; assist with tax setup and issue resolution.
