Job summary

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol seeks an HR Technician II to join its Human Resources team in Raleigh. The role supports organizational management, personnel actions, and HR operations across the OM/PA modules.

You will ensure accurate data entry, maintain the org hierarchy, and assist with audits and documentation. Ideal candidates will have experience with state HR policies, salary administration, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience applying and/or interpreting NC State Government personnel policies and procedures.
• Experience in Salary Administration, position classification and organizational structure, and workforce data.
• Experience conducting audits in compliance with HR and payroll data policies and procedures.
• Attention to detail, strong administrative skills, analytical ability, organizing documents and running reports.

Responsibilities

• Manage employee records and organizational structure.
• Oversee automated workflows for onboarding, promotions, transfers, separations.
• Monitor OM and PA module integration to reflect changes in records.
• Lead audit preparation and coordinate with compensation team to ensure timely responses.
