Job summary

The State of North Carolina - Department of Adult Correction is seeking an HR Technician II (S) to support the Classification, Compensation and Pay Administration team in Central HR. You will initiate, monitor, and process OM/PA actions and maintain position descriptions in Workday, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

This role requires strong HR systems experience, ability to generate diverse reports, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Human Resources or a related field and 1 year of HR experience.
• Alternatively, 2 years of progressive HR experience.
• Experience with Integrated HR systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and track OM/PA actions in the HR payroll system.
• Review OM and PA requests for content and accuracy.
• Generate reports in BOBJ, SAP GUI, Workday, and Excel.
• Provide guidance on OM requirements and best practices.
• Update position descriptions in Workday.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with special OM projects.
• Assign OM/PA Smartsheet requests to teams.
