Job summary

Jenkins Electric Company is seeking an HR Coordinator to support daily HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records, benefits, payroll support, and compliance. You will serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers, ensuring policies and procedures are followed and records remain accurate.

The role covers onboarding coordination, HRIS record-keeping, benefits administration, payroll support, employee relations, and compliance activities.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of HR, administrative, payroll, or office support experience.
• Knowledge of human resources principles, employment laws, and HR best practices.
• Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment and onboarding processes, including coordinating postings, screening applications, interviews, and candidate communications.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee HRIS records and process status changes in coordination with accounting.
• Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, COBRA, and payroll data accuracy.
• Support employee relations, engagement initiatives, and company events.
• Assist with HR compliance, audits, policy updates, and documentation.
