Job summary

Cape is seeking a HR Operations Associate to partner with Finance, Recruiting, HR and IT to keep back-of-house processes running as Cape scales. You will own reporting, onboarding coordination, employee support, payroll & benefits, and compliance across the employee lifecycle.

Based in NYC, you will ensure accurate data, streamline workflows, and deliver an exceptional employee experience from day one, while partnering with the PEO Sequoia and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in HR Operations.
• An instinct for automating repetitive HR workflows (forms, reminders, reporting).
• Led and coordinated payroll processes.
• HRIS experience; Sequoia experience required.

Responsibilities

• Reporting & triage: run recurring new-hire/headcount reports and answer HR questions.
• Onboarding: coordinate visa processes and IT/facility access; run orientations.
• Employee Support: be the trusted first point of contact for leave, benefits, and policy questions.
• Payroll & Benefits Assistance: track leave/status and hand off data to payroll on schedule; liaise with Sequoia and leave platforms.
• Reporting & Compliance: maintain HR files and build dashboards for leadership insights.
• Scale Cape: help build processes, author FAQs and support other People programs.
