Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field is required.
  • 3+ years of HR experience with HR operations/transactions.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and MS Office; strong data handling.

Responsibilities

  • Execute HR processes across the HRIS, including promotions and transfers.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and support onboarding/offboarding.
  • Prepare and maintain job descriptions; conduct FLSA analyses as needed.
  • Support HR Business Partners and maintain data integrity across systems.
  • Consolidate employee files and ensure proper record management.

Today the Company employs nearly 2,100 team members in over 95 locations across the United States.The HR Operations Specialist is responsible for seamlessly executing HR processes that support our employees and maintain the integrity of company processes and data. This role manages employee transactions in our HRIS system across the enterprise, including promotions, transfers, and other organizational data. This role provides operational support to the human resource function including record-keeping, file maintenance, HRIS entry and compliance. The role is also employee-facing as a first point of contact for employee HR questions and helping employees and managers navigate company policies and internal processes.Responsibilities:HR Process ExecutionPerform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs/practices including but not limited to compensation, benefits, leave, performance management, recognition, and compliance mattersRespond to information requests such as verification of employment, unemployment claims, and other personnel inquiriesProvide back-up support for onboarding and offboarding processesPrepare and maintain job descriptions and conduct FLSA analyses as neededMay assist HR Business Partners in support of HR programs/practices such as performance management, employee relations, and compensationHR Data ManagementGuide and execute employee transactions in HRIS and other company systems, ensuring data integrityDevelop and generate reports for HR data and respond to regular data requests from internal stakeholders such as Finance and LegalHandle the set-up of employee data for M&A activities and provide additional support for related HR processes including the transfer of employee filesConduct audits of HRIS data to ensure data integrityConsolidate and transfer employee files to digital format following proper record management requirementsEmployee SupportRespond to employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring to complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff; manage centralized HR mailboxSupport exit interview processes; compile and prepare information for HR BPs as neededSupport employee communication efforts such as health and welfare campaigns, employee engagement, and other related mattersComplianceGathers, compiles, analyzes, and interprets data necessary for external and internal compliance, reporting, and monitoring.Plan, complete, and file compliance reports and documentation with government agencies as neededMaintain the company’s “Drug-Free Workplace” requirements and distribution of documentation.Manage annual MVR process in accordance with company standardsCoordinate random drug screening in accordance with company standardsManage DOT/FMCSA processes and maintain driver qualification filesSupport requirements for businesses that are required to comply with DISA standardsConduct audits of HR data including I-9s and employee documentsRequired Experience and Skills:Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field3+ years of HR experience with specific experience in HR operations or managing HR processes and transactionsWorking knowledge of human resource principles, practices and proceduresProficiency with HRIS systems and other related systemsAbility to coordinate across multiple stakeholders within HR and other corporate functionsAbility to maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive data or informationExceptional verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; experience handling sensitive employee questions or concerns appropriatelyOutstanding organizational skills and attention to detailProven time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesAbility to function well in a high-paced environment and balance multiple prioritiesProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Additional requirements.Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.In-office presence 4 days per week required
