Job summary

Yonex USA is seeking an HR Operations Specialist to keep payroll, HRIS, benefits, and employee records running smoothly in a fast-paced environment. You will manage biweekly payroll, maintain accurate personnel files, and support onboarding, compliance, and reporting.

The role requires at least 3 years in payroll/HR operations, hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now and BambooHR, and strong Excel skills. This on-site position in Torrance, CA offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of payroll, HR operations, and HRIS experience in a small to midsize company.
• Familiar with payroll and HR compliance.
• Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now and/or BambooHR.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft environment (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams).
• Working knowledge of California wage and hour rules, including overtime and meal and rest breaks.
• Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables) and reporting.
• High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly payroll for CA, WA, NJ, and UT with accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS and support HR workflows and integrations as tools grow.
• Process benefits enrollments, life event changes, COBRA, ACA, and terminations; track time off.
• Support onboarding and offboarding, including I-9 verification and system setup and removal.
• Own the HR ticketing queue and provide quick, clear, confidential responses to pay, benefits, and time-off questions.
• Document and update HR SOPs; run recurring HR reports (headcount, turnover, time off) and share data with HR, Accounting, and leadership.
