Job summary

Las Virgenes Municipal Water District is seeking a motivated Human Resources Coordinator to support day-to-day HR operations, personnel records, and data management under the Principal HR Analyst. This role will help maintain accurate employee data and support a full spectrum of HR services.

The position covers recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, training coordination, performance evaluations, and risk management, serving as a resource to employees and external agencies.

Qualifications

• An associate degree in business administration or related field.
• Two years of human resources or administrative support experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains personnel files and records; ensures HR data accuracy.
• Processes personnel actions and coordinates with payroll for accurate processing.
• Supports recruitment: posting jobs, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and preparing materials.
• Coordinates onboarding: interviews, background checks, offers, new employee data entry.
• Administers benefits programs including enrollment forms and invoicing.
• Manages training calendar, tracks completion, and maintains records in the LMS.
• Supports performance evaluations and maintains user accounts in the appraisal system.
• Assists with risk management including worker’s compensation and safety programs.
• Provides information to employees and external agencies on HR programs and policies.
• Compiles data and reports; responds to information requests from external agencies.
• Processes billing and payments related to insurance and reimbursements.
