Job summary

Florida Canyon is seeking an HR Coordinator to provide day-to-day HR support and drive multiple HR programs in a fast-paced environment in Nevada. The role reports to the HR Manager and emphasizes accuracy, attention to detail, and strong communication across all levels of the organization.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in HR or related field with at least 2 years of HR experience, preferably in mining. Proficiency with HRIS (Paycor) and the Microsoft Office suite is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' relevant work experience, preferably in mining, with HR responsibilities.
• Experience using social media, creating presentations and communications, and overseeing print materials.
• Proficiency with Paycor (HRIS); knowledge of core HCM, time & attendance, and onboarding/off-boarding modules is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of compensation & benefits, recruiting, employee relations, and training & development.

Responsibilities

• Comply with state and federal legal regulations, and company safety policies.
• Enter HRIS transactions and manage approval processes.
• Audit HRIS entries for accuracy and report needed corrections.
• Assist with recruiting, sourcing, onboarding, pre-employment screening, and new hire orientation.
• Create and distribute employee communications including newsletters, social posts, and recruitment materials.
• Assist with benefits administration and respond to inquiries about plan provisions.
• Help plan and execute company events and oversee recognition programs.
• Run reports, schedule meetings, and manage data entry and HR metrics.
• Lead HR projects to improve services and recognition programs.
