Job summary

University of California, Irvine (UCI) is hiring an HR Generalist for HR Operations to support and implement HR strategies, programs and policies across departments for a designated client group on campus. The role covers compliance, workforce planning, and talent acquisition, among other HR areas.

The candidate will use established policies to resolve HR-related issues, handle complex situations, and collaborate with management and staff to ensure effective HR delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent experience / training.
• 3+ years of direct experience in varied HR roles, with an emphasis on client or customer service.
• Prior experience working in HR Operations or Generalist Role.
• Demonstrated experience in project management.

Responsibilities

• Supports and implements HR strategies, programs, processes and policies across departments for a designated client group within UCI Campus.
• Manages compliance, workforce planning and position management, training, policy implementation, leaves and accommodations, talent acquisition, and compensation.
• Applies organization policies and procedures to resolve the full range of HR-related issues.
• Works on problems that are diverse and complex in scope with limited day-to-day instruction.
