Job summary

University of California, Irvine seeks a HR coordinator to manage day-to-day staff personnel and payroll actions for the Student Health Center and its clinics. You will serve as the central point of contact for department HR, payroll, and personnel inquiries, and maintain accurate personnel files and confidential data.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years HR experience, strong knowledge of payroll practices, and excellent communication skills to advise managers.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of HR experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Solid understanding of core human resources practices, payroll administration, and workplace policy application.
• Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage confidential records and statistical data accurately.
• Proven interpersonal and communication skills to effectively advise managers and support staff.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day staff personnel and payroll actions for the Student Health Center and subsidiary clinics.
• Serve as the central point of contact and coordinator for all department HR, payroll, and personnel inquiries.
• Maintain accurate employee personnel files, payroll records, and statistical HR data.
• Provide professional guidance and policy interpretation to supervisors and managers to resolve routine to moderately complex HR issues.
