Job summary

HomeFirst in the Bay Area is seeking a Director of HR Operations to lead payroll, HRIS, benefits and workforce analytics in a hybrid office setting.

This role collaborates with the CHRO and HR partners to optimize processes, ensure compliance, and deliver excellent HR services across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in HR operations, strong California employment knowledge, and proven leadership of teams and HR systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven (7) years of progressively responsible HR experience, including responsibility for HR operations, payroll administration, HRIS administration, benefits administration, and workforce reporting.
• Minimum three (3) years of supervisory or management experience.
• Demonstrated experience administering an HRIS, preferably Paycom.
• Experience supporting a multi-site workforce.
• Strong knowledge of California employment administration and HR operational practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HR operations and payroll administration, ensuring accurate processes and service delivery.
• Oversee HRIS administration, payroll compliance, and personnel records maintenance.
• Lead benefits administration in collaboration with external broker and ensure enrollment accuracy.
• Direct recruiting operations and onboarding workflows across multiple sites.
• Produce and analyze workforce reports to inform planning and compliance.
