Job summary

Summit Utilities, Inc. in Denver seeks an HR Operations Analyst I to strengthen HR effectiveness through process optimization, reporting, and knowledge management. This role supports HR’s operational foundation under the Director of HR Operations.

Responsibilities include developing dashboards in Excel, Power Query and Power BI; documenting workflows; coordinating with Recruiting, Talent, HRBPs, Payroll and HRIS; maintaining SOPs and templates; and ensuring data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related field preferred.
• 3-4 years of experience in HR Operations, People Analytics, Talent Operations, or related HR roles.
• Advanced Excel skills, Power Query and Power BI experience strongly preferred.
• Experience developing dashboards, reports, process documentation, SOPs, or workflow maps.
• Demonstrated ability to identify process gaps and recommend practical improvements.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to support cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Core HR Process Optimization: review, document, refine, and standardize core HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
• Workforce Insights & Reporting: develop dashboards and reports using Excel, Power Query, and Power BI; analyze workforce trends.
• Cross-Functional Workflow Coordination: serve as a connector between HR Operations, Recruiting, Talent, HRBPs, Payroll, Benefits, and HRIS stakeholders.
• Knowledge Management & Enablement: develop toolkits, templates, reference guides, and process documentation; maintain resources.
• Data governance: validate data, resolve inconsistencies, ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
• Support compliance, audits, rate cases, workforce planning, and business reporting needs.
