Job summary

MEPX, formerly known as Edwards Electrical & Mechanical, is seeking an HR Assistant to support offer letters in Workday, pre-employment screening, candidate paperwork, and new-hire onboarding. This temporary hourly position focuses on hands-on HR processes and daily coordination.

You will help with background checks, drug screenings, and badge creation, ensuring timely paperwork and a smooth onboarding experience for new hires.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in human resources, recruiting coordination, onboarding, or office administration is preferred.
• Experience handling pre-employment documentation and background checks is preferred.
• Familiarity with Workday or HRIS is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Extend offer letters in Workday.
• Send background check and drug screening forms.
• Review background and drug results.
• Set up pre-work screens.
• Run motor vehicle record checks when needed.
• Submit IT requests for new hire equipment.
• Follow up with candidates on paperwork.
• Complete hiring in Workday after checks.
• Create badges for new hires.
