Job summary

Aramark in Washington, DC seeks an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead the onsite HR function for a large, high-volume unionized convention and events operation. You will own Employee Relations, Labor Relations, and CBA administration, partnering with the General Manager and department heads to support the operation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HR experience with broad responsibilities.
• ≥3 years in a management-level HR role within a unionized environment.
• Experience with collective bargaining, labor relations, grievance administration.
• Strong employee relations, investigations, performance management.
• Independent HR leadership experience.
• Experience with payroll, recruiting, scheduling, and HR administration.
• Knowledge of employment law, compliance, wage-hour, and investigations.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Capable of fast-paced, high-volume operations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as onsite SME for Employee Relations, Labor Relations and CBA administration.
• Manage grievances and lead Step 1 meetings; partner with union reps and shop stewards.
• Conduct complex workplace investigations and provide clear recommendations.
• Coach managers through performance management, attendance and conflict.
• Lead the overall HR function for the account and ensure programs are executed accurately.
• Ensure compliance with DC local and federal employment laws and regulations.
• Oversee payroll, recruiting, onboarding, and HR records.
• Partner with GM and department heads to address workforce challenges.
