Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring an HR professional at the Waynesboro facility to deliver and execute HR services for employees and managers. You will support employment processes, uphold policies, and drive engagement and compliance in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong union experience, high-volume HR operations, and the ability to navigate change with stakeholders. You will collaborate with COEs, SSCs, and business HR to foster inclusion and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 6 years HR related experience or equivalent.
• Experience in a union environment.
• Working knowledge of general HR practices and relevant labor laws.
• Ability to handle high-volume and moderately complex workload.
• Ability to manage through conflict while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset and familiarity with continuous improvement practices.
• Exceptional organizational, inter-personal and oral/written communication skills are essential.
• Intermediate analytical, auditing and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver HR services to employees and managers at the Waynesboro facility.
• Work autonomously in ambiguous situations and guide varying levels through change.
• Leverage COEs, shared service centers, business HR and compliance.
• Apply and interpret HR policies and practices objectively.
• Deliver sensitive communications to employees and leaders when needed.
• Investigate employee relations issues and provide recommendations.
• Present HR programs to customer groups and employees.
• Be a neutral and approachable HR professional to identify best solutions.
• Assist in implementation of organizational changes and support change management.
• Participate in team projects and continuous improvement initiatives from design through implementation.
• Promote inclusion on an organizational level.
