Job summary

Amcor LLC is seeking an HR leader to oversee all human resource functions for a facility with fewer than 200 employees in Des Moines, IA. You will provide strategic direction on talent, culture and operational excellence, while leading safety and data integrity within Workday.

You will coach leaders on performance, development and succession, partner on workforce planning, and handle investigations and union-related matters where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or related field.
• 3-5 years of Human Resource experience; experience leading and developing professionals; PHR desired.
• WCOM Foundations training or similar business process improvement training; PHR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all HR functions for a facility with <200 employees.
• Provide strategic direction on talent, culture, and operational excellence.
• Lead safety initiatives and data integrity in HR systems (Workday).
• Coach leaders on performance, development plans, and succession planning.
• Partner with leadership on workforce planning and organizational design.
• Conduct employee investigations, discipline, and terminations as needed.
• Serve as liaison between employees, union (if applicable), and management.
