Job summary

Amcor Des Moines is seeking a senior HR leader to oversee all human resource functions for a facility with under 200 employees. You will provide strategic direction on talent, culture and operational excellence, while partnering with business leaders to ensure data integrity and effective HR programs.

You will drive workforce planning, performance management and employee development, delivering change management and union avoidance training where applicable, in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required for HR leadership roles.
• PHR certification preferred as an indicator of professional competency.
• 3–5 years of HR experience with leadership/mentoring responsibilities.
• Experience leading projects and influencing cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all HR functions for a single facility (manufacturing and salaried staff).
• Provide strategic direction and change management support for talent, culture and operational excellence.
• Lead safety initiatives and ensure data integrity across HR processes (Workday).
• Guide leaders on performance management, development plans, succession planning and salary planning.
• Manage workforce planning, job descriptions, and organizational design activities.
• Conduct employee investigations, discipline and terminations as needed.
• Serve as liaison between employees, union (if applicable), and management.
