Orbis is seeking an HR Manager to lead day‑to‑day HR operations and scale the People function. You will manage onboarding/offboarding, payroll accuracy, benefits administration, and HRIS governance while partnering with the VP, Human Resources on employee relations.

Hybrid role based in McLean, VA with on‑site requirements and a focus on compliance across federal and multi‑state employment law. You will build tools, templates, and resources for managers and employees.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive HR experience with payroll, benefits, leave, and compliance ownership.
• People leadership experience including managing and developing HR team members.
• Direct experience administering FMLA and multi-state leave programs end to end.
• HRIS experience for operations, data management, and reporting; proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsabilités

• Lead the Senior HR Generalist; set priorities and build capability as the org grows.
• Oversee onboarding/offboarding end-to-end; ensure consistency, timeliness, and compliance.
• Review payroll for accuracy across hires, changes, bonuses, terminations, and deductions.
• Own HRIS data integrity and deliver recurring HR metrics to leadership.
• Support policy application, escalation of employee relations, and open enrollment processes.
