Job summary

Schlabach Printers in Kentucky is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead all HR functions in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. You will own recruiting, onboarding, policy development, employee relations, payroll coordination, and compliance while shaping a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

You will partner with leadership on workforce planning, performance management, and development, ensuring confidential handling of information and adherence to laws.

Qualifications

• Experience as the primary or sole HR professional in a small business
• Knowledge of employment laws at federal, state, and local level
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Proficiency with HR systems and standard office software
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Experience in a small business is a plus
• Familiarity with Ohio employment regulations is preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruiting including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
• Develop and improve onboarding processes to support new hires
• Serve as a resource for employees regarding policies, performance, and workplace concerns
• Address employee relations matters with professionalism and discretion
• Support and maintain a positive and inclusive workplace culture
• Manage performance review processes, goal setting, and employee development planning
• Maintain employee records and oversee HR systems and payroll coordination
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
• Develop and update HR policies and the employee handbook
• Coordinate employee benefits and assist with open enrollment
• Partner with leadership on workforce planning and organizational development
• Support compensation planning and maintain bonus structures
