Job summary

Staffing Solutions Enterprises is seeking an experienced Senior HR Generalist to support a fast-paced manufacturing facility in Brewster, Ohio. This hands-on role partners with plant leadership and hourly associates to strengthen employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture on the manufacturing floor.

You will manage a broad range of HR initiatives including employee relations, onboarding, recruiting support, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of progressive HR experience
• Experience supporting employee relations in manufacturing
• Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and EEO requirements
• Able to manage investigations and performance improvement plans

We’re seeking an experienced Senior HR Generalist to support a fast-paced manufacturing facility in Brewster, Ohio. In this hands-on role, you’ll serve as a trusted partner to plant leadership and hourly associates, helping strengthen employee engagement, retention, compliance, performance, and workplace culture. You’ll manage a broad range of HR initiatives, including employee relations, onboarding, recruiting support, performance management, benefits administration, workforce planning, compliance, and associate engagement. This is an ideal opportunity for an employee-focused HR professional who enjoys building relationships across all levels of an organization and working directly with employees on the manufacturing floor.

Pay

$25.00–$35.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Required Skills

• 3–5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
• Experience supporting employee relations and HR operations in a manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or similar environment
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and EEO requirements
• Proven ability to manage employee relations matters, investigations, coaching conversations, and performance improvement plans
• Strong communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work effectively with hourly employees, supervisors, managers, and executive leadership
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience supporting onboarding, recruiting, workforce planning, employee engagement, retention, and performance management
• Ability to maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
• Sound problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• A hands‑on, employee-focused approach with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism

Nice to Have Skills

• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
• Experience with HRIS platforms and payroll systems
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills
• Prior experience supporting a manufacturing workforce
• Experience generating and analyzing HR metrics
• Background in organizational change management, training and development, or workforce development initiatives

Preferred Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
• At least 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or comparable operational setting

Other Requirements

• Must be available to work 100% onsite in Brewster, Ohio
• Must be able to support a full-time manufacturing operation
• Must be comfortable partnering directly with employees and leaders in a hands‑on plant environment
• Must be able to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
• Must demonstrate accountability, professionalism, urgency, and a commitment to a positive, inclusive, and safety-focused workplace culture
