Job summary

Hampton Roads Transit is seeking a Workforce Training & Development Coordinator to provide comprehensive coordination and administrative support for the training function and serve as executive support to the CHRO. You will coordinate learning programs, maintain training records, assist with employee development, and support organizational learning activities.

The role blends program administration with high-level calendar management, meeting coordination, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in HR, business management, training or related field.
• Experience with training programs.
• Knowledge of learning management systems.
• Knowledge of training methodologies.
• Adult instructional theory and principles knowledge.
• Knowledge of competency assessment.
• Five years of training/analysis experience.
• Valid driver's license; Virginia license within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate training programs from planning through completion.
• Maintain the Learning Management System and records.
• Produce reports on compliance, participation, and metrics.
• Support leadership development and onboarding initiatives.
• Provide executive support to the CHRO.
• Coordinate travel and meeting logistics.
