Job summary

SanMar is seeking a Manager, Human Resources to serve as a trusted advisor to the DC General Manager and leadership team, guiding HR disciplines and acting as an employee champion and change agent. The role oversees timekeeping, payroll, benefits, recruiting and investigations, while proactively addressing HR needs and supporting performance management across the distribution center.

Strong bilingual skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Related Field or equivalent work experience.
• At least 1 year of leadership experience in HR.
• 8+ years resolving complex employee relations issues.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• PHR-HRCI preferred.
• Working knowledge of benefits, compensation, employee relations, laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR guidance and support to the DC General Manager and Assistant General Manager.
• Manage the DC HR staff including time keeping, payroll, benefits, and recruiting.
• Lead full cycle recruiting and onboarding for all exempt and non-exempt positions.
• Help manage and resolve complex employee relations issues; conduct investigations.
• Provide performance management to leadership team; administer reviews and development.
• Walk the production floor and engage with employees.
• Participate in selection and monitoring of leadership training programs.
• Administer and communicate benefit programs such as life, medical, dental, PTO, 401K, leave of absence, EAP.
• Perform other duties as assigned; comply with policies and standards.
