Job summary

ALO is seeking an HR Manager to lead daily HR operations at the Dallas Distribution Center and partner with Operations leadership to align HR practices with company policies and business objectives.

The role requires 5+ years in HR, expertise in employee relations and compliance, and the ability to manage confidential information in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual English/Spanish is valued; Workday experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience in Generalist/HRBP roles.
• Strong working knowledge of employee relations, HR policies, compliance, and HR operations.
• Experience advising managers on performance, workplace concerns, conflicts, and grievances.
• Experience conducting objective workplace investigations and documenting outcomes.
• Experience using HRIS and maintaining confidential records.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work efficiently in fast-paced environments.
• Sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information.
• Fluent in English; professional fluency in Spanish.
• Experience supporting warehouse/distribution/manufacturing environments.
• Experience with Workday.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day HR operations for the Dallas Distribution Center and continuously improve HR systems and SOPs.
• Monitor federal, state, and local employment requirements; update policies as needed; ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with internal or external legal counsel on complex employment matters.
• Respond to employee and manager questions about policies, benefits, and HR programs.
• Lead onboarding processes to ensure a consistent, organized experience.
• Maintain accurate employee records in Workday and manage employment history.
• Coordinate employee training and leadership development with site leadership.
• Support benefits administration, PTO, leaves, and employee assistance resources.
• Investigate workplace accidents and coordinate with claims adjusters to document and reduce risk.
• Advise managers on employee relations, performance management, investigations, and grievances.
• Prepare and submit personnel change forms and offboarding documentation to payroll.
• Conduct timely and well-documented workplace investigations.
• Build trusted relationships with employees and managers; promote communication and collaboration.
• Handle confidential information with the highest discretion.
