Job summary

ALO is seeking an HR Manager to lead daily HR functions at the Memphis Distribution Center, reporting to the Director of HR and collaborating with facility leadership to align HR practices with business objectives.

The role covers onboarding, employee relations, safety initiatives, HRIS administration (Workday), timekeeping, and benefits coordination in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Strong judgment and bilingual English/Spanish communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and HR certification required.
• Minimum 5 years HR Generalist/HRBP experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, compliance, and employee relations practices.
• Experience advising managers on performance management, investigations, and grievances.
• Ability to conduct objective workplace investigations with clear documentation.
• Experience with HRIS systems and maintaining confidential records.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day HR operations at the Memphis Distribution Center.
• Monitor federal, state, and local employment requirements; update policies as needed.
• Partner with legal counsel on complex employment matters.
• Respond to employee and manager questions on policies, benefits, and HR programs.
• Lead onboarding to ensure a consistent, organized experience.
• Maintain accurate employee records in Workday and handle data changes.
• Coordinate training with on-site team and leadership development needs.
• Support benefits administration and leaves of absence.
