Job summary

DeKalb Health is seeking a motivated HR Intern to join the team. This role provides hands-on experience in recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, HR administration, and talent management while pursuing a related bachelor’s degree.

Ideal candidates are studying HR, business, or psychology and are eager to gain practical experience in a fast-paced clinical environment with mentorship and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting activities, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews.
• Support candidate communications throughout the hiring process.
• Help coordinate onboarding activities and new hire orientation.
• Maintain and update employee records while ensuring confidentiality and data accuracy.
• Assist with HR reporting, audits, and compliance documentation.
• Support employee engagement programs, events, and recognition initiatives.
• Participate in HR projects related to process improvement, training, and talent management.
• Prepare correspondence, presentations, and HR-related documents.
• Respond to employee inquiries and provide administrative support to the HR team.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
