Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking a 2027 summer Human Resources intern who will support core HR functions and contribute to employee engagement initiatives. The role targets students in HR, business administration, psychology, or related fields seeking practical exposure within a global manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, assisting with recruitment and onboarding, and collaborating on training and engagement activities.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills with multitasking ability.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with HRIS, ATS, or payroll software; helpful.
• Participation in student HR associations or SHRM chapters.
• Experience in customer service, office administration, or student leadership.
• Pursuing a degree in HR, Business Admin, Psychology, or related field.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher during college.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day HR operations including maintaining employee records, updating HR systems, and preparing documentation.
• Assist with recruitment activities such as posting job descriptions, reviewing resumes, and onboarding.
• Contribute to employee engagement and development initiatives and training programs.
• Partner with HR team members to ensure compliance with policies and confidentiality standards.
• Gain exposure to HR systems (HRIS/payroll) and organizational processes.
