Job summary

SPX Technologies, Inc. in the Kansas City area is seeking a 2027 summer intern for our Human Resources team.

You will gain hands-on experience supporting core HR functions, employee engagement initiatives, and daily operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Psychology, with coursework in HR management or employment law, a 3.0 GPA or higher, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
• Coursework in HR management, employment law, organizational behavior, or labor relations is helpful.
• Cumulative college GPA of 3.0 or higher; high school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day HR operations including maintaining employee records, updating HR systems, and preparing documentation.
• Assist with recruitment activities such as posting job descriptions, reviewing resumes, and onboarding.
• Contribute to employee engagement and development initiatives, including organizing events and training programs.
• Partner with HR team members to ensure compliance with policies, labor laws, and confidentiality standards.
• Gain exposure to HR systems (HRIS/payroll), talent development programs, and organizational processes that support business strategy.
