Job summary

The HR Intern will gain hands-on experience across a variety of Human Resources functions while providing day-to-day support to the HR team in a manufacturing setting. You will work with employees throughout the organization and have opportunities to take ownership of defined projects and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate professionally with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Comfortable working with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Assist with onboarding, including pre-employment activities, orientation preparation, documentation, and follow-up.
• Support recruiting activities, including posting positions, reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate communication, and preparing interview materials.
• Assist with maintaining personnel files and other HR documentation.
• Lead the new hire check-in process, gather insights and suggest improvements on information collected.
• Assist with employee engagement, wellness, recognition, and other company events.
• Support routine employee questions and direct more complex questions to the appropriate HR team member.
• Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, tools, communications, and the employee experience.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.
• Perform other HR-related duties and projects as assigned.
