Job summary

ITW (Illinois Tool Works) is seeking an HR Intern for summer 2027 at its Glenview, IL campus and Itasca facility. You will blend coursework with hands-on experience across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, talent development, and diversity & inclusion.

You will partner with the CCNA HR team on a variety of workplace matters, supporting recruitment, employee engagement, and communications while gaining exposure to multiple HR functions. Graduation is expected Spring 2029.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, economics or related field.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership and teamwork capabilities.
• Eagerness to learn and drive to excel.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Expected graduation Winter 2028 or Spring 2029.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CCNA HR team on workplace matters (talent, engagement, inclusion).
• Support all aspects of the employee lifecycle (recruitment, onboarding, development, retention, offboarding).
• Create division-wide HR communications.
• Assist with the summer internship program.
• Additional projects as assigned.
